Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Until September

Cyberpunk 2077 delayed until September

Last night, CD Projekt Red announced on their social media platforms that their latest game, Cyberpunk 2077, would be delayed until September 17, 2020, pushed back from it’s original April release window.

I think I speak for most fans when I say it wasn’t unexpected. The game looks to be much larger than The Witcher 3 in terms of sheer world scale and that was pushed back twice in order for them to deliver what was, in my opinion, the greatest video game of all time. CD Projekt Red also made a point of not pushing their teams through overtime to get their work in for the release windows, so it’s nice to see them sticking to their guns.

They did mention in the tweet that the game is ‘complete and playable’ though it’s likely due to the scale that QA testing will take much longer to complete than originally anticipated and they’re keen to not have another Roach bug meme-fest.

Well, if it’s anything like The Witcher 3 was in terms of polish, I’m sure it will be breathtaking… I’m sorry I couldn’t resist.
